Nurturing environments, particularly from pre-natal to six years of age, are essential for healthy brain development. The basic architecture of the human brain is constructed through an ongoing process that begins before birth and continues into adulthood.

Below is a photo of the Kinder pack that all kids registering for Kindergarten this Fall are receiving. We have been hosting Kinder Fairs in conjunction with the Registration nights this spring in the follow communities – Killam, Sedgewick, Holden, Viking and Forestburg. The Kinder Packs are funded by our coalition. Thank you to www.thelearningpartnership.ca for awesome resources for our preschoolers.
Please see our Community Resource Directory for services and resources for children 0-5. Let's give our children the best possible start to life!
"My name is Jody Bergseth, and I was born and raised in the County of Flagstaff, where I live with my husband and four busy kids. I have a degree in Education and have taught Kindergarten for the past 13 years. Currently I own my own small business, and I am super excited with my new position as Coordinator for the Flagstaff Beaver Early Childhood Coalition. I am passionate about the importance of early childhood, and believe that the first 5 years are so important to a child's development. I am excited to be a part of this coalition and for our plans for this community!"
